Danby Marble Countertops- need help with backsplash
Hi! We just installed Danby Marble Countertops on both the island and perimeter and I'm struggling hard with choosing a backsplash...we have a lot of white going on already but I don't think I want to introduce any color. Maybe something to complement the Ilve range? Or maybe a white marble herringbone? Any suggestions would be appreciated! We are in the home-stretch and I'm really tired of making decisions. LOL. (note- we are waiting on the range hood but it will be white also)

There are no WZ distributors near us - Madison wi so I'm going to have to travel a ways to find a show room. Ellendi I think your spot on about there not being enough of a contrast between my creamy cabinet color and my danby marble so a basic subway wont wor as it does in Phorbin's beautiful kitchen. I need some type of transition. I know cararra marble is out as it has too much grey and white. I think I really need to introduce the cream shade. I love the glass tile look but I feel as if I'm going for the classic timeless look in my materials so I almost feel a ceramic would fit the bill better. Boy does tile run the gamut in price! I never knew. I also love Bee,s beautiful arabesque tile- not sure of the shade that would be best. Prices are pretty reasonable. What about that milk green color? will it work? maybe with some garnet pieces sparingly mixed in. Comments (3)I had a situation like yours. In the case where the uppers extended slightly further than did the counter top, the tile installer made the tile even with the edge of the upper cabinet and added a very narrow line (maybe 1/2", slightly rounded edge) of tile all the way to the floor on the outside of the lowers. I thought it looked great. Sorry, I have no photos. In the case where the counters were wider than uppers, he lined up the tile with the edge of the uppers and the tile went straight down to the counters, so the last 1/2", or so, had no tile above it. last yearlast modified: last yearI'd do a nice light biscuit shade in a subway tile maybe bevelled edge just for the interest.....the gloss would not be a focus for me ....not sure about matte....but just standard ceramic tile I think ... Your light is streaming in from above so how much would hi gloss really impact. You can leave the task lights on a lot if youreally want the gloss I guess....I just dont think that calculation is super valuable . the marble has that warmth and creaminess and subtlety..... but at the same time your kitchen really has scale / that's why I thought a bevel edge to just catch the eyes for some interest , a bit. I'm sure you'll find lots of tiles to work, Nice space!!!! shown: a bit of relief /bevel to the tile edge.....two different shades [funny around a tub-never would have thought to do that] .
