Quality of Safavieh Rugs from Overstock
Comments (31)Well I just ordered Coleen's blue rug in the runner size for about $90 bucks. I figure this way I can "preview" the rug to see if I really like it and I can always send it back at a much lower fee than sending back an 8x10 rug. I had just bought a blue Oriental runner from TJmaxx that is "OK", but nowhere near as beautiful as this rug. I'll probably end up keeping the runner regardless. I really wish Overstock had one of these Safavieh's with a chocolate field with blue and green accents. That would really fit the bill for me. I keep reading about how fast people get stuff when they order from Overstock. Do you have to do the optional faster shipping for that to happen?...See MoreOverstock/Safavieh Hand-knotted Rug for FR is here
Comments (42)Love the new rug - the stronger color is such an asset in the space! Congrats on a great choice. I keep looking at the pix, and the one thing that keeps nagging at me is the positioning of the rug and the furniture. It feels like the sectional should be sitting more on the long side of the rug. I wonder if at some point, you would consider putting in a narrow console table or wall-mounted shelf to act like a console, behind the sectional on the long wall. It would be a great place for a pair of buffet style lamps, and you could center the two framed art pieces in between them. What I would like to see happen is that the console or shelf would push the sectional forward so that the last two sections of the side at the end of the room would be centered between the two windows. It would move the whole sectional on to the rug more. The chair would just need to slide right a bit, but still be legs on the rug. Once you do that, I would find a new home for the end table and lamp that are situated at the end of the sectional between it and the tall bookcase. I think that area feels crowded, and moving that would allow you to have some visual breathing room between the sectional and the tall bookcase. I would try to center the bookcase under the right set of high windows. That little table would be perfect on a small wall in a hallway or between a set of closets, etc....See MoreSafavieh Rug Quality (hand-knotted) - for my FR
Comments (18)Thanks for the votes of confidence! I'm beginning to get nervous spending so much sight unseen--but it's handknotted, a Safavieh, all colors mentioned are on the warm side in my room. It shipped and scheduled to arrive on the 18th. For those following my duvet thread, the paisley duvet also shipped (early, yay!) and is scheduled to arrive on the 16th. Sounds like I have some rug moving to do next week. We're having guests over for Thanksgiving so will be nice to have it all in place before then. Cross your fingers for me!...See MoreGoing nuts over a rug - what works here?
Comments (48)6 is Nuloom Farroe Faded lace 4 is Edessa tribal medallion I believe it's also Nuloom 3 is Arabella Faded Crowned Rosette 5 is Waverly rowed diamonds I actually found the Waverly Rowed Diamonds at RugsUSA.Com when I was searching the names for you. I didn't see it any other place. Arabella Fades is on Amazon and other sites. Some of them come in multiple colors so be aware of that. I took them from a file folder so I had to look them up to see they are still out there and they are. This may be to geometric for you, but saw you has some blue/green on your board. This is Jaipur rugs Desert Carcal (it's extremely thin though if you have children it may be a fuss)....See MoreRelated Professionals
