For those of us who remember Flashdance, and Flashdance fashion (did you cut up a t-shirt or sweatshirt?) Irene Cara who sang the theme song has passed away at only 63. 😥

Oh that's sad. I remember her in Fame as well.

Very sad, relatively "young". I didn't realize that she co-wrote the song for Flashdane.

It looks like she kept a low profile.

Seil, I like your "Son of a Peach". Tom Carruth used to tell the story of the marketing meeting to name his new (at the time) peach colored mossed mini. One of the other employees came up with "Peach Fuzz" and the rose became HIS. Karen, you could, if it grows well in your area, grow Peace as it was sold in Italy as Gloria Dei (Glory to God) or even Gloria Mundi, the poly.
