When that happens to me, I hit submit, then go back in and continue. Usually it then works as usual.

Recently I have trouble replying using the phone. But on the tablet, it works.

Use a different browser or a different device. Or, both.

Browsers are free. But somewhat different from one to the next. You're not stuck using just one and not others. On all types of hardware, choices are available.

I am having trouble, too. Since I don't post much, I found a tolerable way around it. I'm on a tablet, so as i type and each word appears on the bar above the keyboard, I choose it. Apparently inserting a word works differently than typing it. And with autofill, I don't have to type everything.

The few times I use my phone I let it suggest the words. But it takes forever. My laptop is flawless.

Quite a few of the words I use, especially when amending among earlier writing, I get parts of the word reduplicated sometimes several times over.

In "reduplicated", above, when the cursor was at the end of it anand I clicked into the mmimidmiddmiddlmiddlee of "rreredreduredupreduplreduplireduplicreduplicareduplicatreduplicatereduplicated"- the whole word disappeared, as did "middle", when I left it before hitting "space". When I ccacamcame back to rewrite "mmimiddle" - you see the result above.

I first wrote "o j" ... didn't hit "space" before going back to repair the error in the line above it - the "j" disappeared.disappeared. Left the error in the line above, added "le" to tththe forlorn "o" tto make my full name, it came out "oole" ... anand as I've beebeen writing this, more errors, ssosomsome of whwhiwhicwhich I've corrected.corrected.

Similar to aok when on my phone - I recall awhile ago, someone else mentioning that the autofill worked for them, while straight typing did not, and I found that to be true for me as well - on my Android phone, at least. When I ignore autofill and just keep typing, the text disappears, when I select the autofill suggestions, the words appear in the dialog box.

You do need to have autofill turned on, of course.

I have zero problems typing on my desktop - only the occasional glitches with the dialog box not populating properly, but refreshing the page usually resolves that.
