Homemade easy & inexpensive gift ideas!
Comments (6)Another idea using canning jars. Insert pieces of pines-usually about3-4 inches long-, 3 or 4 pieces-, fill with water about 2/3 full, put in a hand full of fresh cranberries. I take an inexpensive tea candle, remove the metal holder, make certain the wick doesn't have the tendency to fall out(I usually remove the wick, use a match to melt the bottom of the candle slightly and quickly push the wick thur the candle again). Push the candle down into the cranberries about half way-it will float. light the candle and enjoy. I use different sizes and shades of jars. When done, I drain the water, put cover on jar-aluminun foil works fine- and store in refrig. If you give as gift, I try and find lids for the jars at garage sales. They last for a very long time if kept in refrig....See MoreStocking Stuffers, any new ideas? LOL
Comments (10)I just bought stocking stuffers for my 2 GD's. They are 8 and 5. My daughter recommended hair barretts, flashlights, little notebooks and I got them each a new pen and they had little game books with word search and other assorted games like you do in the car. I also got them ornaments. they also each got a small assortment of bath gels etc. I bought almost everything in the Walgreen's drugstore! All the suggestions so far have been great. In the past I've also put in lip balm, mittens, socks and underwear. A nice silver dollar or a 2 dollar bill is always fun too. Oh and I got them chocolate candy shaped like a big penny at the William-Sanoma store! Joann...See MoreFun stocking stuffer/gift idea for teen girl
Comments (5)My teen boys usually get the AXE gift packs. I think they are starting to move away from that to Old Spice. Don't buy anything in a spray. You can thank me later. My daughter is a teen this month. She loves the face masks, makeup, bath bombs, fingernail polish in bright or glittery colors. Her favorite store is Hot Topic for fandom clothes. She has certain bands she likes and then Supernatural, Dr. Who, Harry Potter, etc. She also likes to take my makeup and hair things....See MoreIdeas for holiday gift giving
Comments (186)I second a gift of real ginger chews from the "Ginger People" as a stocking stuffer for all your ginger lovers out there. I got my husband a huge bag one year for Christmas. Probably too late for ordering now, but if you ever see them in a store, great products. That's the actual name of the company, Ginger People. I had to run out to find some sympathy cards and the only place they sell them in my town is either the mart marts which I was not going near, or the chain pharmacies, since we no longer have locally owned ones in business. Just as a side note, Rite Aid had a marvelous selection of gifts and Christmas decorations. Nicer than any of the big boxes in town. Some nice toys and books and activity books, specialty magazines, ornaments, etc. We really dialed down Christmas shopping this year due to financial austerity, but if you are looking for some last minute stocking stuffers, that was a surprisingly nice place to go. Lots of interesting toiletry products too. My husband has very little sense of smell so I don't get him fancy nice scented things, but they had some cool body washes and scented soaps and aftershaves. Natural products. My one suggestion of a last minute gift that I always loved getting as a kid were the candy Lifesaver "books" of assorted flavors of rolls. They now have activity pages too. I just loved the glamor of having so many types of Lifesaver candy. It combined my two loves, books and candy!...See MoreKswl
