Building new home with existing pool?
Comments (9)My biggest regret in our build was not putting my foot down on saving some of the mature trees and shrubs in our front yard. Yes it is easier to build without the pool or the garden or whatever but if it is important to you make it important to them. I love our builder but now that I see the new house and saw demo etc they fully could have saved half the garden and simple put a fence around it and used a bit of caution. It made their life easy not to. Now we are paying for replacement shrubs and plants that really already existed. Very frustrating and obviously a new tree doesn’t look nearly as good as a 20 year old one!...See Morebuilding new home question
Comments (9)Building custom vs. a tract home is always more expensive as mentioned by others. Buying existing can be more or less expensive depending on the area as it is very dependent on the market value of a home in the area. It essentially comes down to what are buyers willing to pay in the area, includes some adjustments based on location, features of the house etc. and the market value sets the house price of existing homes. This has very little to do with how much it cost to build the house to start with....See More2020 trends building new home
Comments (37)RES 3D Sketches as i said it is a spec home. Regarding selection choices for exterior, i'm debating on the color choice of the home. I am thinking white with black shutters and accent wood beams. Black trimmed windows tall and large. A good amount of decking since the view is great from the lot (2nd and 3rd level of home). I am trying to get ideas of color for exterior. Everything was grey. I am so sick of grey. I like warm and earthy. I was trying to get an idea of something new that's pleasing to the eye to possibly incorporate into the design and look of the house. As i said before we already have an architecht....a very reputable one in our area. I just wanted to give him something to work with when we first meet with him so he has an idea of what we are looking for. If this were for a private residence as my husband has always worked with i wouldn't be asking these questions. I know exactly what i would choose for my home but i tend to think outside of box frequently and i want this home to be as appealing to others eyes as it can be....See Morebuilding new home concrete slab, LVP, LVT or Laminate? and what color
Comments (1)That is hardwood on the floors so really showing us this has no real bearing on choosing flooring. You need to talk to a flooring expert about the best choice with the slab. There are many ways to do flooring on conctete slab but you need to talk to a pro in your area. I love LVP but it has limitations too. I would choose it over laminate unless you go very good quality laminate from maybe Germany ....See MoreArchitectrunnerguy
