sorry I haven't had a chance to reply to everyone! I haven't forgotten this thread though :P I might have a temporary place for most of my bigger brugs, but the smaller ones still have to go simply because there are too many, and I'll still have a crap ton of cuttings. I'll refer back to this page when it comes time in a few weeks to cut. in the meantime, would anyone be interested in well rooted NOIDs? they're all two to three feet tall. I have one that was given to me as a double white, two pink ones, and one or two that I'm not sure of. shipping's going to be kind of ugly on them, but they're well rooted healthy plants with a good start already. I'll try to remember to check this page frequently :)

He is cute and has great color to him. With that spoon slot, he might be a 'gravy boat'. Any way you use him, he will look right at home on your table. The leaf dish is very pretty too and the colors match your turkey. I see you put a votive in the gold goblet which is a great idea and looks nice too. I think it will give a nice 'glow' when it's lighted. Your centerpiece came out lovely and looks like it was waiting for the 'accessories' you just brought home. How old is this man? Knowing that might help to understand his reluctance. You are doing the right thing. My DM had a little saying for situations like this: Anything to keep peace in the family. I'll never forget that. In my case, we always had "everybody" for holiday dinners at our house, including newcomers to our church. Now that even the grand children are married and that means other families in the picture, and my DH passed many years ago, holidays aren't what they used to be. But I go with the flow, or else I would be left stranded, all alone. Thanksgiving will be at my DGD's. She is a great cook, (although my dressing is better than hers!) I still have Christmas here, and all the family understands that. No ifs and or buts. Sue
