Dog pee stain on engineered hardwood floors

Hi so my dog mustve peed at some point in an empty room on a bag of paper towels. We just moved in so im not in that room daily’im guessing this happened in the last 2 days and l just noticed today when I went to remove the bag there was a stain and it wont come out with my usual wood cleaner spray . so now there is a faint stain of the shape of the plastic that was where he peed. How can I get this stain out of engineered hardwood floors ? please help the house is new and im so upset !

What will that do?

Water damage is water damage. You might just have to teplace the boards. Hopefully you have spare boards left over from the installation. If not, you might have to steal some from a closet. In any case, call a wood flooring specialist before you try DIY solutions (like vinegar) that might just make it worse.

A fan to draw air across the board...a dehumidifier to dry the air and 'time'...are the only things I can think of. The wood should return almost to its original position.

Not an expert but I do not think anything but time may help. Perhaps a fan or dehumidifier to dry the floor quicker if it is a very recent leak?

Thought I would also update this thread since it popped back up. We moved into our new build 2 months ago and ended up choosing engineered wood for most of the house, except the mudroom, laundry room and their connecting long back hallway, which got tile. I can close this area off and the dogs stay here if we are gone for several hours. Their food and water is also kept in the laundry room. The floors are Duchateau - Riverstone collection - Sava color. So far they have not shown any scratches from the dogs making the crazy run to the front door when they hear the doorbell and/or fedex! The floors have a rustic look and slight texture that will make it easier to hide any scratches and dents.
