Which decoration would match better with the wall tiles?
Comments (13)If you are including the dark green tile in the background than the yellow tile with either the trim on the left or the middle bamboo. The trim on the right doesn't look as good with the dark green tile in the back. But, if on the other hand, you are not including the dark green tile in the mix than either yellow or white large tile. I prefer the trims on the left and middle with the yellow large tile. But all of the trims look good with the yellow tile. I prefer the trim piece on the right with the white tile and nothing else, but I would have to see it in person to be sure there was enough light color in that small right hand trim piece to go with the whitish large tile. The color and pattern is personal preference, you get to choose:) The size of the trim is personal too, but generally people want the trim to look balanced and in scale with their room as mentioned above....See Morecofferred ceiling and 'proportions' which would look better?
Comments (2)We did a coffered ceiling for some customers, and I divided the ceiling into an irregular grid with 4 large rectangles in the center, surrounded by a narrower perimeter of thin rectangles with squares at the four corners. I used an additional molding around the walls at the base of the coffer molding so the wall coffers could stick out further, and have a little more visual weight. We had our decorative painter faux-grain all the moldings before they were installed, and just touch-ups were done with it in place. The ceiling panels were done later in a textured wallpaper like tin tiles, also pre-fauxed with a golden glaze. No pictures of that. Casey...See More2 options for new lounge suit. Comments (1)Go with the most comfortable but leather will last longer and wear better. Take a look at Omnia or Palliser for similar styles to the microfiber one you like. Omnia is all top grain and Palliser offers all leather or a leather/vinyl option. By the look of your empty room you can go with most anything....See MoreWhich marble would work better?
Comments (3)Townlake, I agree. Was just looking at it again and I do think it is more similar. I am kind of trying to match to a certain extent... Ugh. Trying to "refresh" without totally redoing is a pain. As my contractor said, it is like pulling a thread on a sweater--the whole thing unravels. Thanks to both of you for weighing in! Kalenangel, I kind of agree, but then I change my mind and like the less busy one. I go back and forth....See MoreJill M
