Wow the windows really look like black holes. Definitely get rid of the shutters as they are woefully undersized. In retrospect black was a poor window color in my opinion. You need to power wash the brick and really hope it brightens up. Hope you are planning to change the roof to a architectural type shingle? I would not do a black front door, maybe blue or green but definitely nothing dark. Maybe paint the window trim white.

Yes I would not get the black again but I cant change that now. I just have to make the best of it

Painting the window trim a light color should help define it better! I would almost keep the window shutters and paint the door to match that color, so you don't have to worry about the uneven brick tones.

What do you mean when you say paint the window trim? Do you mean paint part of the new windows white?

I don't like to advocate painting brick, but this house would probably look better if the bottom half were the same color as the top. If you don't like the idea of painting the brick can you make the siding the same color as the brick instead? Is it time for new siding? With the black windows you have doubled down on Modern Farmhouse. You definitely don't need the shutters on the larger windows. In the winter plants are not at their best, but your landscaping looks minimal. After you clean the brick (and maybe painted it) put some time and/or money into landscaping.

Thank you for all the comments. Im really sick over this as it was alot of money. I wish I would have asked here first! The siding is new so thats not an option. I though about painting the brick white next year. Maybe the taupe shutters would help.
