I'm using 3/8" poly foam caulk saver for the same application. Run a bead of exterior adhesive caulk along the immovable pipe, "stuff" the round foam strip into the space, and you have a flexible seal that should form fill varying gaps. It won't last indefinitely, but it should hold for a season or two and be easy to peel off later. 30' of 3/8s was $2. Also on my door it causes enough pressure (being squeezed) to make the door self closing, which I think is a good thing, but could also cause the seal to wear out a little sooner. Anyway, I hope this is helpful. I've used this stuff for a dozen purposes over the years.

just a dissenting vote re size. My drive way is 125' long and it has a 4 car wide parking area/turn around too. The winter of 04-05 gave us a good amount of snow usually 8-10" at a wack. here in Marshfield. I'm close enough to the ocean so snow tends to wet. I was using an old Ariens 20" 2 stage with a 4.5 hp motor. It was the little engine that could. As long as I kept the intake out of the snow that rig handled 2' drifts with out a problem. Last yr , I had an 8 hp 24" Ariens. less snow, and it was a bit faster, but my back felt the difference. I have no recommendations re replacement. Are you sure your present snowblower has a gear trouble or maybe it just needs a new belt or two?

Sorry I can't speak for the older Miele units, but I've had a new Miele Diamante for almost 3 months now it is by far the best dishwasher I've owned. The original (builder's) GE unit was from 1986, very noisy and never cleaned good. Because of this, we almost never used it. When the kitchen was remodeled in '06 we went with a newer GE Profile unit and had it serviced about 6 times over a period of 18 months. It was much quieter and did clean, but had issues with the water intake and the rollers in the upper rack. It was then replaced by the Electrolux wave-touch, which was an overpriced POS and had 4 repairs in 6 weeks, so that went back. After searching and searching, we decided to go with the Miele and could not be happier. Not only is it the quietest out of the bunch, but it's built like a tank and everything comes out clean no matter how dirty they were. Drying is also good, as we use the Miele brand rinse aid, though there is some water left on tupperware items. I really don't miss the heated drying one bit.

hollysprings is correct. Looking at it on my computer vs my phone, I found out whose kitchen it is. From the original picture with an explanation: I love that backsplash! The cooktop is 36" wide (Thermador gas) and the vent (tucked inside the wood hood) is 33" (remote blower). The microwave is 24" wide and is an over-the-range model, meaning it is screwed into the shelf above it (there's no shelf underneath it supporting it). Flanking the cooktop and hood are spice pull-outs. In the cabinet on the far right (right of microwave) are tea, more seasonal, nalgene bottles and palliatives. Here is a link to the kitchen album.
