Andersen window weatherstripping

legend33
last year

We have Andersen 400 series casement windows from late 80’s. We get a lot of dust coming in (along with pollen in summer) and pretty sure most are also leaking air. When I open some the seal looks ok and others it’s clearly cracked/broken. I’d like to seal all of these windows up better to avoid the dust/air leakage. I bought some 5/16” foam from Andersen and I can apply it to the window frame that touches the house - but not confident this is good enough seal. I know the original part would be best but it would be a small fortune to buy those. Has anyone tackled this before and have any good recommendations? I recently put foam strips on my front door and it did wonders so I’m hoping the same applies here. Thanks!!
