What's happening with my snow peas?

I'm in Southeast Coastal Georgia and some of my snowpea vines are turning yellow/brown. Most of the plant seems healthy, vibrant and is producing snow peas. We've had temperatures in the 60s and nighttime in the 40-50s. Tonight is expected to hit 32 but the rest of the week's nighttime temps are above freezing. Here are some pictures:

Obviously I am not familiar with your climate, but they look normal for end of season pea plants. How long do they usually crop? Is this unusual behaviour in your area?

Also don't know how peas grow in Autumn in Georgia, but frost doesn't kill pea plants like it kills beans. Peas are cold hardy to some extent and may survive mild freezing weather for awhile. Seems like you have been successful and the plants are no longer young so some branches are dying off. Don't think you can do anything about it, just keep looking for snowpeas while they keep producing.

Hey Crafty - how are the peas doing? I'm still waiting a bit for the pea planting but I am going to start on lettuce, cabbage, carrots and kale today with floating row covers pinned down over them for now. The cabbage will have the row covers for the summer after having bugs eat and poop to the point of not being able to eat not one of them. Do tell - I'm curious to see how they are doing. i tried Sugar Sprint this year which is smaller and not as delicious as Super Sugar Snap but is only about 2 or 3 feet tall and stringless. i like to let SSS get really fat before harvest, is it just me or do they seem to get sweeter that way? The pods must be strung at any age but it is so much easier to string a fresh pea. queenofthemountain, did you get to taste any of the Sugar Snaps to compare to Super Sugar Snap? i have heard others say the taste is better? But also what your experience confirms, no resistance to PM. i was suprised to discover that snap peas come in yellow and purple. i know Sylvia grew some Golden Sweet snow peas recently and i just received some Opal Creek and Sugar Magnolia seeds. Anyone else trying any of the colored podded peas?

I have found that they produce little when you do this. Better off replanting. You could also develop disease on the stressed plants

Can't tell from the pic but it may just be one plant? I'd check the lower portion of the dead vine and see if it got cut/detatched from the plant, a possible critter chew?
