This forb was found growing by a retention pond. It had heavily-lobed, 7" leaves. Is it maybe a Lanceleaf Coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata) or something else?
It more resembles Rudbeckia laciniata. The foliage is quite variable.
Defn something else.
Have: Fresh Coreopsis, Hollyhocks, and Yarrow
HAVE: Starting list for Olympia trade
Native Groundcovers and Other blooms
Yeah, doesn't look exactly like my lanceleaf coreopsis plants.
Hmm, not sure if it's Rudbeckia laciniata (Cutleaf Coneflower), because I don't think I've ever seen that here?
But not sure what it is, then???
BTW, off on a tangent...but does anyone know how long it typically takes for a prairie wildflower bloom to go to seed?
According to the bonap it is present but rare for you.
Some go to seed quicker than others but it depends when it blooms. If it were blooming now it could be a matter weeks.
