Ok, thanks for all the input! I recently found a place that will cut the mirror AND bevel the cut edges for me, YAY! It's not the cost that's the issue, I just hated to waste a good mirror. Hubby got it off the wall in one piece & I have the prettiest glass & metal mosaic tiles to frame it. (a frightening note - it wasn't glued or anything, just held on the wall with those little clips!!! We're lucky it stayed in place for the last 8 years!) Will post pics when done.

When you say that the lights can move out, I'm assuming you mean laterally, that is to the sides, and not forward. I'm wondering what that oval mirror would look like. Your lights have curves, with the loops, and the lights themselves, and I think that is why I am leaning towards the oval. Can you make a template of the oval? Or maybe one of the wonderful HD photoshoppers will help out once again.

Framed or beveled frameless, either will look fine. Actually since you don't have a light fixture, framed might be better. That was my first inclination but I thought it might be too much dark wood because of the medicine cabinet. I'd use a plain frame about 2 1/2" wide. I would still raise it above the back splash to let several inches of paint show.
