Let's call these garage doors number one and number two. I think what you did was program one of the remotes from number one to number two or vice versa. This will cause that problem. What causes confusion is you are not programming the remote, you are teaching the receiver to accept the code from the remote. Now then what we need to do is go to each motor unit and hold the learn/smart button in for six seconds. This will erase the memory of both units and none of your remotes should work. Take the remote(s) you want to work with number one and press the button on the remote while you press and immediately release the learn/smart button on the motor unit. Do this for each remote you want to operate number one. Now do the same thing for number two. You should be okay.

you drag up a 2 year old thread to tell someone to do something they probably do not know how to do safely? and then on top of that you cannot even talk in words folks will understand? NEVER jsut switch wiring around in a panel unless you know what you are doing. you could throw off a MWBC and cause an overload. you could switch a wire from a GFCI breaker to another circuit and lose GFCI protection as well as cause almost instant nuisance trips. garage outlets should be on GFCI circuits, while many interior circuits are not.

Does the wall buton have an LED on it? Is it flashing? yopu may have inadvertently set the unit into vacation mode, which disables the remotes but allows the wall pad to work. Just a thought.

Yes, It worked fine at my bro's house. it has been so frustrated to play around with all week long. I decided to purchase a new Craftsman at Sears. Before purchasing the new GDO, called the tech support line, gave up after holding for 15 min. Installed the new GDO, I did not have any problems of opening or closing from outside w/ my new remote but my wife did have problem this morning, eventhough I tested her new remote last night and was fine. Hope it will be OK when she gets home this afternoon. Thanks for your reply Don.
