entryway decorating … stumped! ideas welcome!
Comments (2)I would put a colorful runner in the entryway hall. I have one in an extra wide hall that looks great with the flooring. I’d also add some art which picks up colors from rug. I personally not too big on mirrors unless there is appropriate reflection - nice sunlight or great view. But end of halls is a common placement. Comments (5)I can't tell from the pictures how this space relates to the front door. If this is the only wall area where you can put a console, then that could be the answer. I like a console table at the bottom of the stairs to stage items to take up the next time I'm going up, and if it's the only table by the front door and you use the front door a lot you might put your keys, mail or phone there while passing through. I also like a mirror over an entry console. But if there isn't a need for a console I would put art there, either one large piece or two stacked....See MoreEntry decor help
Comments (10)The house is lovely. It might be time to step-up your design style to complement the architecture of your home. This cabinet below is from Crate & Barrel the mirrors from a variety of sources. Looks like the living room furniture could use a boost in terms of style also. Why not consider a fountain outside the entry instead? Your other choice could be in the curve of the staircase, but I would select something tall and narrow nestled in tropical plants.
