Probably nothing. Though epyphytes are adapted to something similar. For instance orchids, you can grow in pretty much any medium you want. Because for them the substrate typically only holds moisture somewhat and provides support. You can grow orchids in ground up tires, glass balls, volcanic rock, etc.

There are many that are better than bark, because bark rots and sequesters nitrogen. But bark is cheap.

Some mushrooms prefer bark or wood chip medium. Air plants and spanish moss can be anchored on bark. There's a handful of plants that can grow in water instead of bark.

Why pure bark?

never really heard of choosing the plant to fit the media ...

its seems so simple to mix 50% bark with 50% peat based media.. and grow just about every plant known to mankind ... why limit yourself ...

ps: outside.. a lot of trees wouldnt mind a high draining bark media .... but trees arent inside plants ...

Is there a reason you wanted to limit your selection that way? Otherwise, there are too many plants to name that would enjoy a sunny windowsill over winter.

If you have access to bark of appropriate size, mixing in some peat, perlite, and dolomitic (garden) lime will provide you with a very productive medium. A 50/50 mix of bark and potting medium will be much more difficult to grow in because there will be enough fine particles to fill all large pores between large particles, reducing air porosity to essentially the same as what the mix would be without the bark. In fact, standard potting mix is easier to grow in than a 50/50 mix of bark and potting medium. The idea is to use a fraction of coarse material large enough to ensure there is not enough fine material to fill all spaces between the bark. This 'threshold proportion' will occur when coarse bark + perlite, 1/8 - 3/8" is ideal, makes up somewhere near 75-85% of the volume of the medium.
