Built in grill: Does it need a platform or rest on countertop? Help!

Donna Reed
last year

So we have a delima. We had a summer kitchen built out of isokern panels and the 36" Wolf grill built in has no liner (non-combustible) and the contractors built it with the plan that the grill will rest on the countertop. They insist that is how it goes. However, the Wolf install instructions say it needs a platform. (the first 2 pics are from Wolf and the last pic is of the Isokern layout).

Anyone have a clue?
