Kabocha pumpkin and winter weather

otcay
last year

Most sites warn of pumpkin damage with frost but if one lives in a practically frost-free zone, are the kabochas still at risk for damage with the coming of winter? I have a fruit now in its 31st day. They typically ripen around 50-60 days so I have another 3 weeks to go (around Thanksgiving!). The nightly lows are dipping into the mid 40s. Day temperature rises into the 70s. My questions are:

1/ Without frost, will the vine continue to pull through and allow the fruit to progress to its ultimate end? or

2/ Is the low temperature low enough to damage the fruit or inhibit ripening?

Thanks for green-thumbers' insights
