Comments (45)And believe me… I’m an over thinker. I looked at a gazillion whites and read a bunch of articles about undertones, which way the condo is facing, etc. So glad I just went with it....See MoreHelp with trim color/shutters

Comments (6)Thanks! The name “Colonial White” is deceiving. I wouldn’t really call it a white at all IMO. It’s more of a very light beige. So you’re saying I should stick to Pittsburgh for the trim since I used them for the walls too? I think the reason I went with SW for the trim was because I wanted something that would hopefully be easy to get (or color match) years down the road if I needed a touch up. But I didn’t realize that their “Pure White” was so off white. Hopefully the Pittsburgh would continue to be easy to get since it’s untinted, I just feel like they discontinue their paints/change their formulas a lot....See MoreHelp with trim color
Comments (14)I don't agree that trim color for the entire house has to be dictated by a single cabinet finish, particularly in rooms that are completely separate from each other, even if the trim is all "white." I grew up in a house with bright white tile and fixtures in the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room, and the cabinets matched the white tile and the white floor in the kitchen. But the house was very traditional colonial revival, and matching the all the woodwork to match the white bathtubs (and cabinetry color) well, it would have been much too bright and it would have looked terrible. So those living and bedrooms rooms were a softer white. (It was also modulated very slightly in a bedroom or two where the "white" ground of the wallpaper was not the same white. (Harder to keep track of than being able to touch up the entire house out of one can.) It all looked "white", although there was obviously a split finish on the bathroom doors and trim. But really that was probably less objectionable than having the white fireplace paneling in the living room and wainscotting in the dining room the same bright white as the refrigerator and the bathtubs....See MoreRelated Professionals
