A darker color might keep the brown and orange (rust) from popping so much. So look at taupes.

There are a lot of different shades of beige/brown/gray in BM's Historical Colors. You are going to have to do some sampling. You don't want anything too dark, but I don't think white is doing you any favors.

The roof, trim, gutters are things with which you can work. It is all the other things that are going on that spoil the look of the house.

If you can remove the iron filigree do it. Repaint the stucco and the blackish trim the same color, S W Mindful Gray, using a flat sheen for the stucco and a gloss sheen for the trim.

Then consider painting the front door AND the full view storm door the burnt orange. Hard to match your burnt orange on my monitor. Try B.M.

In order to give you valuable suggestions, I need to see the entire front of the house. Between the snow banks and such a close-up picture I can't even see the gutters nor where they're located (slightly or very visible). Please post more pictures.

I can only see 2 pictures, one of the front door with snow banks, the other of the front door with no snow on both all we see are a few steps in front of the door with railings on each side.

You mention orange but can't see any in your picture but maybe something like this can work for you...

If possible either replace or cover in wood the two iron columns on the porch. Paint all trim including window frames and the flower box in the light greige, dark red door as an accent, black railings. I would paint the storm door the same colour as the front door. Perhaps you can replace your 2 sconces with larger ones of an more current style, Amazon has several inexpensive ones sold in sets of 2.

Note: What ever colour you choose, keep in mind that they usually appear lighter once applied outdoor so be sure to make a sample prior to starting the project.

Yeah, I don’t know that the ”can’t paint because it’ll chip off” is sound advice. Get a second opinion.

The thing that bothers me is the very bold brown trim pieces, especially right on the bottom of the house. Why is that piece highlighted? Just paint it the same color as the house body.

I agree with @littlebug zone 5 Missouri. A second opinion is in order. Go to a local lumber yard and ask for them for names of local painters in your area. Many will leave business cards, etc.
