What kind of flashing tape for Marvin Elevate insert replacements

I'm planning to install Marvin Elevate insert replacement double-hung windows. I am considering putting window flashing over the existing sill for added protection. I understand that I should use butyl or acrylic flashing, not asphalt/bitumen-based. Because the inserts are only 3-1/4 inch deep, and even if I cover the vertical part of the stool (which is around 1/2 inch), it seems to be like the tape should be less than 3-3/4 inches wide -- otherwise, it would not be covered by the new window sill.

A few options:

1. This Pella tape (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Pella-3-in-x-50-ft-Window-Tape/5004730195) is only 3 inches wide, and I have seen various videos where it is used for insert replacement installation. It is butyl-based.

2. This ZIP system tape (https://www.homedepot.com/p/3-3-4-in-x-90-ft-ZIP-System-Tape-5017100/204836782). It is acrylic-based and thus superior to #1. But it is 3-3/4 inches wide, perhaps too wide for this application. And I only see it in vertical applications or full replacement window installations, not inserts.

3. This 3M tape (https://www.amazon.com/3M-Weather-Flashing-Tape-Liner/dp/B00IOQF69C/). It is acrylic and it's only 3 inches wide.

Which tape would be best? Or do I need tape at all? The instructions for the Elevate inserts do not mention the need for flashing tape (https://www3.marvin.com/WebDoc/Elevate%20Insert%20Double%20Hung%20Installation_19915296.pdf). But logic dictates that using it can only help.

Thanks.
