To hide cords, consider adding the equivalent of a "backsplash" to the desk but with a space between desk top and cords to disappear into so they can reach a multiple electrical outlet attached to the back of the desk. One plug from the multiple outlet will need to reach an outlet. Cords from desk top items will still be seen behind the items between those items and the "backsplash" They'll still be visible. If you drill holes in a solid "backsplash" board, you'd hide more of the cords. Hi @Patricia Colwell im attaching picture with measurments. its the corner of long wall that is open plan connecting to dinning room and living room. We need space for computer, printer, books, some display of items. and some plants to make it cozy

I think I need a to scale floor plan. I also am not a fan of a bunch of bookcases displaying stuff that does need to be displayed . Waht pieces do you need to do your work? I think those bookcases could function as places for work stuff along that wall. I agree I do not like to face a wall but in my office I have ahuge window behind me and it is great because it allows light without blinding me.IMo you need to designated spaces so the dresser belongs in the bedroom space . Do you do Zooms ? If so you have 2 choices you either have a wall you do not mind it showing or a fake one. All of the art needs to be hung much lower and once we have a floor plan and the size of desk you need and what needs to be in the office then we can help. I do think natural light is a must for an office not so much for a bedroom Please post the plan here in jpeg foramt DO NOT start another post
