what color should i paint my front door
Comments (2)I like colors that pop. Red would compliment the gray nicely - not a fiery red, but a nice brick red. Black would look nice too. You can go with a factory black like Sherwin Williams. I colored my back door. I would also go with a satin finish. Glossy will look too "wet". I don't know if you can paint fiberglass, but any paint store should be able to answer that for you. Comments (2)Yours is one house that can support even the most outrageously "out there" color on the front door and still look good, given the uniform charcoal color. A stain (if you buy a new door to put it on) would be too tame. Shutters would improve its appearance in its present state, but if it were mine, I would be more likely to try to use plantings to soften and fill the gaps. It also might benefit from a much larger and more decorative light next to the door....See MoreFront door - what color should I paint porch and front door?

Comments (20)Like the pergola over the garage door idea. If built to be sturdy enough to walk on it, then it could serve as a fire escape route should the need ever arise -- certainly hope it never does. You might also consider painting your step rails and side supports the same color as your siding unless you're planning to have a wood finish door and/or a rustic porch and post addition over the entry at a later date, in which case you'd want those additions to have the same wood finish. (Might apply to any pergola over the garage as well.) https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=images+rustic+porch+and+post+entry&qpvt=images+rustic+porch+and+post+entry&FORM=IGRE...See Moredecoenthusiaste
