Cresent, Kincaid, Mobel or Room & Board Bedroom Furniture?
Comments (6)We purchased 4 pieces of Cresent's "Murray Hill" about 6 or 7 years ago from a store in Tennessee and had it sent to the NE. It was a very good deal. The furniture is very sold using solid maple and floating panels and dust panels between the drawers. My only regret is that they seem to have reduced the variety of pieces offered. Many of these companies are struggling to survive under the cheap Chinese competition. In any event, highly recommended....See Moremood boards
Comments (15)I think Pixlr.com is a fabulous resource. Pixlr.com Editor is a lot like Photoshop. Except it's free and it does work on mobile devices, tablets. Like Photoshop, one of the key secrets to making it easy to work with is the Layers. For example, you'd paste each inspiration photo/element/item on its own layer. So you can manipulate each element independent from all the others - e.g. resize your inspiration sofa but the lamp you pasted on another layer is unaffected. You can Edit>Transform>Scale each item. Draw a square and fill it with whatever color you want to create a background. And more. There is a learning curve but I don't think it's ridiculous. There is a learning curve with ALL of the resources for example I didn't think Olioboard was particularly user-friendly. Pixlr, unlike the mood-board-specific programs, does lots of things as far as editing, creating, manipulating images. So, any investment of learning how to use it adds up and increases your overall image editing skillset. A worthwhile endeavor IMHO. Comments (13)i believe the white is maybe as opposed to blue or black or the current gray? Whereas the gentleman who was interested in the pink was one of our punsters, seeking to play with us. I was told by someone older than us that pink for men was only for late 50s early 60s, only to us does it feel like forever. the gentleman in question has returned in several dimensions the name is mulder....See MoreHelp with Boys Bedroom Design Please
Comments (17)The first thing I would add is a huge cork board for each boy to save th walls from becoming pin cushions.with posters memorbilia etc. We always did that with our boys.I would see what colors they like hopefully they ca agree on one and then paint that color on one wall and the rest a nice neutral that works with that color.Add bedding to reflect their interests . I think some shelves are a good idea for a few things to be displayed for sure. The lamp and the drapes are way too formal for a boys room. Maybe some woven shades for the window and wall lights for each bunk. I would not bother with a desk unless one of them actually will use it. In my experience kids sit on their beds with a laptop to do homework. Maybe a table in the play space for craft stuff if they are into building planes etc Maybe afold out bed/ chair where the dresser is for sleepovers ....See MoreLinette
