Color choices in master bathroom

What color fixtures with this tile combo? would a black & polished chrome mix work? What about gold & black? home is modern farmhouse style. walls will be alabaster. considering either alabaster or naturalwood cabinets. opinions welcome

Some designers can make a good looking gold+silver combo, but it is risky. I wouldn't reccomend this idea to a non-professional. Golden color has always been a symbol of status. Gold with silver creates a non-verbal message ''i am RICH''. Interior should match it =)

Thank you so much Cherri for you sweet compliments! I wish you the best finding the perfect paint for your house....I played it safe also when building 6 yrs. ago and went with Ivorie thru out the downstairs public rooms and bedroom bath. Later changed the DR to restrained gold and the bedroom to mannered gold. then just this past Oct. changed the LR to raspberry red. I think you get more comfortable in your home the longer you are there and are willing to take more risks. Now I wish I had painted Mannered gold in the FR which is a 22 ft. ceiling room...ha! The Ivorie is staying for now until DH decides to hire a painter....LOL! But go for it if you are building....once blinds are up, furniture is in , pictures and art are hung.....the paint colors tone down. I especially love the mannered gold. It made the tones in our bedroom furniture seem much richer. I left the bathroom Ivorie since gold isn't my color in clothing shades and was afraid it might make us look sallow or jaundiced in the bathroom. We had thought of wallpapering it buy life gets in the way sometimes and projects get put on hold. But the deeper shades on that paint strip, restrained gold & mannered gold are very pretty colors. I was surprised when I went to pick paint for the master bathroom and master bedroom. I thought I was going to easily go for a very light blue gray like I have in some other areas of my house. But the lighting just didn’t make those colors look good. So sometimes you have to be flexible and go for a different undertone. In my case it was going more towards the green undertones, like North Texas says. You just need to be flexible and find the undertone that looks best with your lighting.

It's all personal. I'm not a fan of gold with gray. I'm not a fan of mixing metals.

Looks nice! Mixing metals is simple, all you need is select one main color and stay with it. Black is neutral, it goes with everything. You can choose from gold/brass (aka yellow tone), bronze (brown tone), silver/chrome/nickel (gray).

So if i went with the black & gold wold a aged bronze work well for fixtures or would you recommend a more simple matte black?

Matte black and oil rubbed bronze make different emotions ans aesthetic. Interior design is all about cohesiveness. Do you want more polished, posh bathroom? Or relaxed, shabby rustic?

Great, black and oil rubbed bronze will match! Gold is a no-no, too shiny. You can add aged gold or brass however.

IMO what color are the faucets ?They needed to be chosen for the shower hook up ao I would stay with thta color for the other hardware. I think the gold does now work with the style of tile at all For sure no Edison bulbs in any room in a house . You have nice warm colors and the edison bulb will skew them all to yucky yellow cast . I The vanity should have been the first choice you made BTW.

Please…no Edison bulbs in a bathroom. Look beyond bathroom sconces and fixtures.
