Cabinet paint BM Graystone Or White with MSI Calacatta Laza
Comments (23)We will be gutting our kitchen and doing a complete remodel. I’m thinking about using calacatta Laza which is what we used in our hall bathroom remodel. I bought a sample of silver drop behr for the walls in my house and it’s almost a perfect match for the background in the Laza. At least in my lighting. please Ignor the original 1960 countertop. The tile is my flooring. HD didn’t have a paint chip so I made one myself using the extra white chip....See MoreDoes anyone have photos of MSI Calacatta Arno counters?
Comments (262)I just went to the MSI showroom to view slabs. The slabs of Arno I saw had dark gold veining only with a bright white background. No other colors or variation. It was pretty. I'm on the fence. Our contractor said to look for jumbo sizes only. I wasn't expecting that and now feel somewhat limited. Arno is pretty and comes in prefab and jumbo size. Check out Vadara Quartz. I prefer their quartz colors. I also went to their showroom and I think their quartz is gorgeous....See MoreNeed a simple white quartz to go with Kraft Maid Dove White cabinets
Comments (61)@Lisa I do have a question for you! The thing that concerns me about Cambria is the heat comments. I would never put a hot pan on any countertop. BUT what about things like an All Clad Slow Cooker? Moccamaster or Nespresso Coffee maker? Instant Pot? What things like this needs something under them to use? Air Fryer.. I would think Vitamix would be fine? I think it would look awful to always have something under the coffee make or Vitamix. The other things are not kept on the counter. I have never had to use something under them with the granite countertops. I don't Have to go with quartz. If I do go with quartz it will definitely be Cambria. I thought about going with marble but I am a messy cook! I still want to see your blue when I go back to the beach. (My husband seems to be set on Cambria white! But that might be more due to him being tired of ldiscussions about the countertop.)...See MoreMSI Calacatta Delios
Comments (19)I also have noticed certain people on these boards who make a point to slam quartz whenever they can. I’m not sure why they feel the need to do that. Are they also slamming “fake” corian and laminate counters? Many of us have chosen quartz for a reason, not the least of which is its durability and stain resistance, and where it has advantages in the kitchen over so-called natural counters including marble and even granite. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we genuinely find so many of these quartz countertops beautiful. I used quartz in my kitchen and bathroom remodels a few years ago (replacing some dated-looking granite that always showed water stains) and have not once regretted it. I love my counters much more than I ever did before. And as to why we would ask to see someone else’s counter pictures, that should be obvious. We want every opportunity to see the counters in different settings other than samples which are limited and misleading....See Morebris22
