Monday Morning Blooms
Comments (9)Vickie, the colour on the pick ones have been exceptionally good the last couple days. I think it is due to the cool mornings. Previous blooms were less good. kay, the colour on Constantinople is darker and richer. It looks much better in person. I have been happy with just about every bloom....See MoreWet blooms from Monday
Comments (11)My top favorite of yours (again) is Getting Airborne. I really love that one, and if I could find any room, I'd add it. Worlds Collide and Joan Derifield caught my eye too. How nice that you got that much rain! I rained for four days while I was away, but apparently it as light rain, with the total coming in a just one-third of an inch. Debra...See MoreMonday's blooms
Comments (8)Bob was happy with these first two. These are their first flowers ever. Princess of Alexandria X (Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You). The Bride of Dracula X (Chomp X Mitch Lynd) Philistine Champion X Small World Fire in the Hole got its blue ribbon today. This small flower was also selected for further evaluation. It is School Bus X Merry Moppet. It looks a lot like School Bus, but it is taller and well budded. This is Burgundy Eye Shadow X Mississippi Memento. This one was supposed to be an intro this year, but I didn't have a photo to do it justice. It has such a velvety overlay that is next to impossible to photograph. This new iphone 11's camera seems to have done the trick. This is a small flower--about 4 inches on a big robust plant. This is one of our favorite seedlings. It won't be registered since it has a low bud count and a fairly puny plant under it. We are crossing it with more robust plants. That's all today. Nancy...See MoreMonday's blooms
Comments (4)It was a good day in the seedling beds. Here is a highlight of what's happening. Some small diploids are making up happy. These are both Stella's Ruffled Fingers X Indelible Blood. We are happy that we are getting a range of nice colors. This striped seedling made us happy. We wish there was a great contrast between the two colors but are happy that the petals are quite broad. This is Pink Stripes X Perfect Pose. These orange daylilies with black eyes are also making us happy. Buddy's Betsy X Heavenly Bengal Tiger Heavenly Bengal Tiger X (Lava Flow X Gary Lynn's Calliopsis This is A Small Multitude X Galaxy Explosion. That's all for today. Nancy...See MoreBill M.
