I saw this in Houzz photos but there is not any information about the Pendants. How can I find the information? Thanks

Hi, This is soo funny. It is almost like de ja vus because this is almost my exact same situation. I also have a 50's ranch and am trying to decide on a floor for my kitchen(currently an old ugly vinyl). I will also be re-painting my cabinets a fresh white with stainless appliances. I have already replaced the hardware with brushed nickel and a few appliances. I hope to eventually replace the counter tops with granite and I may go for a stainless steel tile back-splash (still deciding). I also have oak hardwood in my adjoining living room and hall, but was considering some form of Brazilian cherry for my kitchen floor. I have an additional problem that the living room is the old fashioned real hardwood and the hall is a prefinished softer floor installed later (but similar in color - oak). I am considering a pre-finished floor (like Bellawood maybe ) or a laminate that looks real for the Kitchen, if I can find a good one. I also wonder if that will look weird and am looking on advice for a durable inexpensive brand. I have included a link to an older picture of my kitchen when we first moved in. I have changed some things since then (little by little I guess). The walls will be a combo of Kilim Beige and Latte. For the uplight, you could go a few routes, especially with respect to dimming functionality. And some fixtures don't support dimming, so you need to figure that out. To that end, I suggest you think through the use cases. For example, the use case that I think I'd appreciate most is late evening, after you've retired to another room of the house, at which time a mellow indirect glow from the skylight cutout would be particularly pleasant. You might also want the more light from this source on occasion, in which case you'd want brighter lights on a dimmer. That being said, here's some options. I'm thinking two, centered on the skylights, mounted near the bottom rim of the cutout (just above the beam probably). Regarding the pendant, I know that selecting pendants is hard enough without more to think about, but one downside of a single pendant vs multiple pendants is thhat single sources create worse shadows. And the clear glass pendants above exacerbate this harsh shadow problem by being point sources, whereas the Fillsta, for example, mitigates this problem because it's effectively a uniform 31" sphere of light. This large diffuser also makes it possible to use a brighter source. For example, you could put a 300W equivalent CFL in the Fillsta, but such a bright light would be unacceptably harsh in a point source like the clear glass pendants above.

jaimeeap--forgive my ignorance, but do you have any pictures of the island/kitchen in question? I love the pendants, but it's hard to say whether they are appropriate for your kitchen without knowing what it looks like. :-) Maven19, since I'm also doing a gray kitchen, I absolutely love your inspiration photos! I think the pendants in your second picture are my personal favorites. I'm going to have to go very small and subtle, since it's a small space and a low ceiling and anything much over "mini" size will look out of place. But in a big kitchen? Yep! I love them! kelleg69, this photo is of your current home, but you are moving to a new one? Just want to make sure I understand. I must say, it's a very beautiful kitchen! My favorite part is the gorgeous back splash!

I was also concerned about the marble tile (and now even more so) Thanks for pointing it out. (Especially since this is primarily the bathroom for two ten year old girls). Jamie - the bathroom is pretty small - approx 30sf. I am tiling the entire shower, the outside of the tub enclosure (using a drop in) and one complete wall (the wall with the vanity ad mirror). The opposite wall will be painted white. There will be a frameless glass door and There is one frosted window in the shower , so not that much light. I was hoping with the high hats, there will be enough. I actually love dark bathrooms (my next one will be a black bathroom) so that part, I don't mind. I'm just hoping it is light enough to capture the green. Dragonfly- thanks for the advice. So if we go with marble instead of tile, 8 x 8, polished black and honed white. Do you think that this would be prettier than cement matte? The bathroom is pretty small and I'd prefer not to cover up the floor with rugs and mats so if that's the only way to make it safe, I'd prefer to forgo the beauty of marble if I have to just cover it all up.

In all of the photos that I have seen--the Pendants are not tagged. I sent a message to Perido Interiors a few weeks ago and have not received a reply.

OK...but did you read my comment? Did you look on the link I provided? As I said above, there is a tag for the pendant in the linked photo. That tag shows suggested pendants that look like that one. If you would just take a minute to look at them, surely one of them is the one in the photo, if you would just look.
