Similar pendant

saw this pendant im considering to go above to be built kitchen island. i likemit, but i need 2 and ar the peoce point of $900 each, im trying to find somehting similar for less ($500 or under) i need a pendant/ fixture no more than 15-16 inches wide island is 72 inches long by 42 wide

its by Aerin , white glas disk, called lLoire. here are various pics of the material ro see if anyone can help me source similar options; the small pendnat in first 2 pocs is what i like and need, the larger pieces in the orher pics are the bigger versions of it, but figured id post to shownthe material/ details of the fixture

ive looked , and not finding anything

cant say I'd pick that one..esp for the price. Dale Chihuly meets the balloon seller . just too fussy. show your space and what other options you saw.

my space is srill under demo. we took down a wall between kitchen and dining room, so dining room is now incorporated with krichen and the existing chandelier and all decor in the DR is staying.

here is my dining room. its all i have to show. id like a silver finish on kitchen pendnats, no fabric type pendnats . i hate edison/ glaring bulbs if its a clear glass finish , id want to use frosted bulbs. if its a glass fixture, id like frosted/ opague glass. Here is dining room and the existing chamdlelier that is staying

i had posted some clear glass ones prevously, but didnt get much or positive feedback about them .

Not at all! We do it all the time. For busy families or families planning to stay in the house for a long time and likely transition over the years, we actually almost always suggest NOT doing a main light fixture. We find that it limits the space to only allow for one function. If you do the can lighting, you can transition that space to be exactly as you need it! Good luck, post pics when it's done, would love to see it!

I previuosly posted these, but did t get much or positive feedback about them. if inised any of these, i would use a frosted bulb not these clear/ edison bulbs i hate those type of bulbs. hurts my eyes, and looks horrible in my opinion

do you have more of a board of the images of kitchen finishes...hardware/ counters/floor/ cabinet finish etc????? might help. How close in proximity to the dining table will the island be situated? there are factors which lead to choices about aesthetics w something like pendants. I like the middle one above but dont know about the kitchen enough right now

That's a beautiful light. CB2 often has lookalikes. Shades of Light has tons of options so you may find something that you like just as much. But if the lights are going to be the star of your space, it may be worth it to spend the $$ and save elsewhere--those Aerin ones are pretty unique.

RE: "star of the space" didnt you say the kitchen will be open to dining room? the dining room is quite lovely and formal..if you want a star its right there. with more table top decor...pretty runner etc you will have a constant visual. You can make a case for can light only above island and get something going with stools or understated pendant actually. the silver toned metal along w frosted glass in this might be nice

thanks stiley i thought they looked more like art glass, and in the small pendnat size i need, wouldnt be so over the top like the bigger ones pictured , but be unique and eye catching. its okay if not everyone likes pieces i consider; we all have dofferent tastes my concern is more if something will go with what is existing and what will be newly done.

Here are pocs of the kitchen.

wall has come down.

cabinets are staying, being refinished in white.

counter being extended to where wall was removed/ losing bakers rack adding undercoitner refrigeraor , 2 open shelves above extended countertop and backsplash tile will be applied up tonthe ceiling as accent wall

appliances staying they are stainelss steel.

kitchen table has been reloacted and will be adding a 72x40 island instead hardware and faucet will be brushed stainles/ silver . style to be detemiend

countertop is a quartzite

backspalsh being changed : to be detrmiend. considering chloe bedrosian white

Usually you choose a budget and try to stay within and I agree that fixture is in no way worth $900. It does look exactly like herbflavor described. Figure how many pendants you want and do the elecrical accordingly then wait until more of the kitchen is finished before choosing the exact lighting. I think the fixtures are chosen like jewlery for a n outfit so do the outfit first then decide lighting BTW those pendants in now way work with the DR chandelier style.

the price is a killer for our bidget looking for alternatives. i still think its pretty and unique, even if it doenst work with my space . i like things that arent seen over and over in every kirchen

Saw this one. not sire if it will work. agree i will be waiitng unril

more elements are put in, but id llike to have a few possibilites to consider lined up to choose from whne the time is right instead of started to look st that point
