I have no idea whether they're surface mount or butt hinges. But I did find them online here. They're Liberty hardware, item # H01010C-CHR-O2. Thanks for the ideas. I ended up purchasing the surface mount ones from VanDykes that are an exact match to my original kitchen cabinet hinges, but not offset. DH put each hinge in a vise and gently bent one side to make it 3/8" offset and will cut part of that side off (removing a third screw hole). That will make them a perfect match! All for just 3.99 a pair! I got the nickel plated steel, but don't really want them that shiny. Anybody know if I can "satin" them up? If not, I think I'll paint over them with the cabinet white paint - like the original ones in the kitchen that have layer after layer of paint! That way, I'll have the texture of the hinges, but not something real shiny. Thanks, Terry

You are correct, that is a Full Wrap self closing hinge. Can't really tell from the picture what the overlay is it could be 1/4" or 1/2". Measure the width of your door and the width of the opening, if the door is 1/2" wider than the opening then it is 1/4" overlay if the door is 1" wider than the opening it is a 1/2" overlay. Amerock still makes those hinges, they are not identical to yours but they are very similar. If the holes do not line up exactly you can drill new ones, filling the old with epoxy putty (available at most hardware stores) if you need to. I think both True Value and Ace Hardware carry Amerock, if they don't stock the hinge you need they should be able to order it for you. The Full Wrap hinges are on pages 160 and 161 in the current Amerock Catalog.

Thank you all for your replies and suggestions, especially the reassurance that mixed finishes is not at all unheard of. I went to the store and purchased some Rub n Buff to test. I have never heard of this stuff! I also bought antique brass and bright brass hardware at Home Depot to try spray on, too. Once I showed it to my husband, he said that if we were going to take the time to hand apply the rub n buff wax paint that it might be better and less time consuming to just spray all the hinges instead. Then he spoke to a friend at work who used Rustoleum metallic spray for all his hardware and that it turned out great. I had mentioned spray painting before to him, but his reaction was that it would not work long term due to the movement of the hinges. From what I have also read online, if you do several light coats, followed by a clear sealer topcoat, the finish lasts a lot longer, so we may go this route in the end. We have decided we aren't going to rush this. We are going to consult with a carpenter to get a quote for new cab doors and drawer fronts just to see what it would cost for a new style. I'm suspecting it is more than we can spend right now. If it is, then I will spray paint or rub n buff the hinges so that they "hide" into the espresso stain finish and then decide what color knobs to buy. Then I will re-finish all the bright brass on interior doors, so I will be left with only two finishes around the house... I hope!
