I have been reading this bath forum for a few weeks, getting ready to start our remodel. I have found some great advice, tips and inspiration. Thanks! I saw a post about different patterns using 16 x 16 floor tiles, but I cannot find the post now. We are thinking of using the 18 x 18 Stainmaster Luxury Vinyl tiles with grout. I would like to know if anyone has used these, and any suggestions on the pattern layout. Bath is 10" long and 5-6' wide looking from the door. They also make a 12 x 12 that I may add in as well. If anyone can send me the link of the post I am referring to I would appreciate that. Also any advice on doing a search on this forum. I have a very difficult time with a successful search for a specific topic. Thanks for all of the after pictures!

If there is any still out there, I'm looking for 600+ sq ft. of either 12x12 or 18x18 Dal Tile - Mardi Gras to complete a living room area. Thanks!

I'm in the camp that thinks larger tiles make a small room look bigger. My master bath is a longer than 8 ft. but the tiled floor area is only 5-1/2 ft wide. We used 18" square tiles on the floor and put them on the diagonal. Laying them diagonal uses a bit more tile but I think it makes the room look wider. Not the best picture but maybe it will help you visualize My daughter's bathroom floor space is only 76 x61. She used 24 x 24 tiles. I think it looks look great. For comparison, here is my narrow hall bath with 12 x 12 tiles. When I redo this bathroom I plan on using bigger tiles.

I had the same concerns. I went with Ocean Silver marble in 12x24 on my floor which is 200 sq. ft. I used the same 12x24 on the bottom 2/3 of my shower and the top is Thassos marble in herringbone. The shower feels busy to me, but my floor does not. Maybe it’s the lighting. They’re still working so sorry that most of it is covered. You may want to look at the profile for nidnay; her marble bathroom is beautiful.
