Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Trim and door color consult

Hello! I’m interested in an exterior color consult but am a bit rushed as we already have painters scheduled to start painting this coming Tuesday (was planning to keep trim colors mostly the same but am now second guessing). my major pain point is the gable window beung bright white. would welcome any input on trim/window and exterior door (including garage) color scheme.

The size of that window is awkward so painting out the trim to match the siding would be a good idea.

I like the current colors on your home.

Resurrecting an old thread - I have been considering painting the door trim the same color as the door. I was happy to see this post that said it was stunning - but I can't find any pictures of this at all (other than some wood doors that have wood trim). Does any one have any pictures of door and trim painted the same color, or is there some design reason why this is rarely done?

I have paid lots of money over the years for professional advise ... sometimes I take and sometimes I don't. There isn't just one perfect color for your house/trim/door. If you hire 5 more color consultants I will bet that they all come up with different suggestions and I bet none will say that your house looks fine just as it is ... after all you paid them to come out and make suggestions! You seem to be stuck on what was said by the consultant, but obviously you didn't agree with her or you wouldn't be posting here! It really is ok if you do your own thing, really! Here is a free consultation! If I bought your house today, this is what I would do: - paint house body BM Nantucket Grey - paint house trim a non-stark white color - ditch the shutters (I call them wasp condos) and beef up the trim around the windows - paint the front door a nice glossy deep red from Fine Paints of Europe - solid granite latern posts, for birdhouse too - since I hate having to paint them - paint fence same white color as trim - get rid of asphalt and replace with pavers That's what I would do. What do you (not some sonsultant) want for YOUR house?

What I really want is to have "Smoky" Mirror Closet Doors installed on three closet doors, but cannot find them anywhere. Don't they make them anymore? I have a driving anxiety issue; so I was looking for "in-home" closet door consultation services where they could bring the mirror and trim samples out to me, measure, and subsequently install. I can find the "in-home" consultation services, but none of whom sell smokey mirrored doors. Does anyone have any information they can share? It would be beyond appreciated. I'd do the trim in a warmer white or cream.

BM Classic Gray comes across as a warm white for exterior colors and would coordinate beautifully with your siding and natural stone. See: https://thecolorconcierge.com/best-white-paint-for-dark-rooms/

Perhaps add a black window box at that window to give it more importance? The black would pull the garage door color and you can change the flowers seasonally (imagine Christmas greens!) Beautiful home!
