Faucet opinions PLEASE
Comments (15)I think you should keep it -- it will be great at either your island or your main sink. I almost cried when I first held my semipro faucet (pre-installation) up to the window to try it out -- but now (3 years post install) I never, I mean never, notice it in front of the window anymore. Windows have a way of drawing your eye outside, so makes sense that it wouldn't be noticed. Also your Grohe is very streamlined, so it would be even less of an issue. I also think it would look great on an island, though and unless it would be in the line of sight between two people seated at the island, I doubt it would be bothersome at all. I really think you will love the functionality of it on the island (or at the main sink!), and should definitely keep it. Also it's very sleek in its design, so I don't see it as an eyesore or obstruction whether it's in front of the window or on the island -- who's to say that 15" or 12" is the ideal height for a faucet over 26", anyway? Personally I find yours less obtrusive, even at 26" than some shorter ones with wider profiles. It does list "Locking Dual Spray Control-- switches back and forth between regular flow and spray" as a feature, so I think it will lock in place for you while you're using it -- not sure if it stays in that position after you turn the water off (my Grohe minta reverts back to regular flow, but that's fine with me)....See Morefaucet opinions wanted

Comments (10)In my mind there is absolutely no comparison between the two. I have the systema and LOVE it almost as much as I love DH (don't tell him) and it's not even installed yet heh heh the one thing that sold me on systema is the second faucet feature. honestly...you don't want your water coming out as high as it does from a rinse faucet only. that makes for splash central, and you can only aleviate this by installing a second "regular" faucet, which was what i was going to do, before i found the systema (because i really wanted a pro stye rinse faucet as well as a normal one). cleaning the exponsed wires isn't a big deal...they don't really get dirty (if you splash food that high when doing dishes you have more issues to deal with than the dirty faucet). without even looking...i'd take a kwc brand over a kohler anyday (the brand is quality!) but for pure function, you don't want a rinse faucet alone...you need both for an efficient kitchen....See Morefaucet opinion needed
Comments (7)Regarding sprays... I lived with cheap plastic pullout sprays for years. I hated it. After using integrated pullout spray that has toggle for spray in vacation homes and other homes, I had my husband upgrade just the faucet in my old kitchen. I really liked the toggle feature. I looked at pull down (versus pullout) faucets for the new kitchen. Many of the pulldowns require you to hold the button down if wanted the water to spray. I did not like that feature. This means that you only get to use one hand while the water is in spray mode. I like using two hands while the water is in spray mode to rinse dishes or vegies. Some people do not need the spray at all. Each to his/her own style of working. Toggled spray mode is an ESSENTIAL feature in MY kitchen. I also needed single handle faucet (function over form) in MY kitchen. Faucet is too much of work horse to short change on function for me. You need to figure out what features are musts for you then find a faucet that fits those needs. If not, you are going for the look first. If the form is driving you first, then I think the faucet looks a tad modern and not classic enough, IMHO.... Sometimes it is hard to get both form and function satisfied......See Moregtdj519
