I'm Becky. I'm finding out that my behavior is not that of an addicts, but completely normal (at least here!) LOL! I started 29 different varieties of heirlooms - all from old seeds (2009-2012). All 29 varieties of tomato seeds germinated!!! Some with more success than others. Now I have 100+ seedlings taking over the living room, dining room and spare room. Its like Wild Kingdom in here! Of yeah, in the garden, I have room for 40 or so plants.

I thought I responded to this the other day but my computer has been all screwed up since I loaned it the housesitter....but that's another story :oP So yes I was in alaska and am now back in Washington :) It was cold there LOL I was trying to "finish" the kitchen so after four years I could post a "finished" (which it really isn't but it's so freaking close I give up) kitchen in the finished kitchen forum/blog whatever that is LOL I had painted the base of that table years ago when I didn't know what type of paint to use. It was too glossy and new looking and bothered me, and the top was too faded after I stripped off the gunk of 130 or so years. The top was literally gross so it was worth removing but it was too white. So I repainted it with an antiquing kit that had a flatter black paint as well as this clear antiquing stuff that turned the sanded off areas kind of redish brown. I stained the top with some fabulous all in one product that rocks (wipe on, wipe off stuff..can't remember what it is but I'll use it again if I do LOL). It's a nice rich red oak again :) old table... new old table... Could be a better picture but its hard to take pics in that kitchen (too much sun shining against the snow).

I think the headboard is a great idea and will make the beds feel more like a sofa. However, for sitting comfort, you may still want the bolsters, and some other pillows as well. My first apartment was a studio and I had a twin bed pushed up against the wall. A twin bed is really too deep to sit on comfortably--you have to wiggle way back to get your back next to the wall. And this usually means that people put their feet on the bed, as well. If you think no one will really use these beds as sofas, not a problem. But if the beds are intended to be used as seating often, to make them comfortable, you need a fair amount of cushioning back there. The bolsters shown in that link are a good start, but IMO, not nearly enough to make a bed a comfortable seat.

Been years since I redid the kitchen (and sold that house) but still come here most every day to see what is new - I "personally" have one cat, Heidi, she just turned 13. Until this Spring I also had Harley who was 13 in the Spring. Sadly, the time came to tell him goodbye due to his almost unmanageable overactive thyroid. He was my orange and white tabby. Heidi is the brown/gray one, she evidently has a double coat because most weeks I vacuum up enough hair to 'clothe' another cat. She loves to drink out of the toilet and she is my acrobat. Perhaps she thinks that if her feet touch the floor something terrible will happen. She is a totally inside cat, as was Harley. I keep my lounge chair and couch covered with inexpensive quilts because Heidi shreds upholstery. Six years ago my daughter and grand-daughter in law brought home a tiny kitten, maybe six weeks old, I named her Miss Kitty, she is outside part of the day and inside the rest of the time (we live on five acres and my home is closer to the back property line than to the road). Miss Kitty was not properly handles while a kitten (I was still living at my previous home during the work week and only out here on weekends. My sister in law lived next door and 'cared' for Miss Kitty but she has always been stand-offish. Miss Kitty insists on drinking from the water faucet. Miss Kitty is the only one that loves the kitchen counters. Then there are the boys - the actually are the grandson's cats but I feed them, vet them, bring them in when the weather is bad. Kitty Boy is (I think) either 3 or 4 years old. Brad brought him home to be a barn cat (keep in mind this little cat was maybe 8 wks old and just leaving him in the barn alone was iffy, at best). Because Mo (Mogley), the huge tuxedo male had no intention of befriending Kitty Boy. The are somewhat friends now. Mo is (I think) 6 years old.
