Flooring Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Flooring transition help

Hello! We just finished remodeling the kitchen and are on to the half bath. We have extra wood flooring and would like to use it in the bathroom to carry it through.
I’m debating about putting wood in the transition area between the kitchen and the bathroom because it’s so high traffic and carpet is already matted down and dirty.
Thoughts? Would this look weird or a common look, good idea?

Do you have enough to do the whole hallway in wood and just have the bedrooms/stairs carpeted? That would be my pick, if switching it all to wood isn't in the cards.

What are the adjoining areas that are carpeted? And what is the long-range plan for those rooms?

I am going to tackle a 10x11 laminate install this weekend. I bought the supplies from Lowes with the help of the flooring dept. I am worried about the transition strip that I need. One end of the room which is 10' feet wide meets up to carpet and I need a transition strip. The guy a Lowes sold me the premade tranition strips for my room but the premade strips are only 5' long so he sold me 2 packages. I dont see how that is going to look good to have 2 pieces butted up to each other. Do I need to make my own 10' strip? Do I just buy some unfinisded trim and stain it to match? How would I fasten this down? The premade stuff ftom Pergo has a track the transition piece fits into.

I thought this was a blank slate and if so why do marble in the bathrooms. I think I would need to see the house and the suite in the center is a bit of a mystery sow show that in a to scale floor plan . Where are you located? IMO all stone floors only work in the tropics they are hard on feet, backs and knees for sure.

If you are looking at gray and trying to maintain the formality of the home, why not go white? White is the brightest version of 'gray' we have (monochromatic theme). It would play well off of the dark wood - especially next to the stairs = dark wood + white treads. I would keep the type of pattern you have now and use dark gray as the center inserts instead of the black. And if you can handle it (assuming you are not 'in love' with the counter top) I would put a gray counter top in (invert the patter you are seeing) to anchor the kitchen. I love a bright white floor.

Thanks for these comments !! very light lvp. we are on an incredibly tight budget so unfort dont have a lot of options (please advise if you know of a great lvp!!!). i am considering megaclic grand collection in ash color… (the one on the left. the sample on right is much darker with no light…) the kitchen cabinets will stay (ill stain them slightly darker walnut) but new counters (ceasarstone clamshell, sold at ikea for 1/2 the price) the rock fireplace going -before floors :-) good point that changing the direction might help with the trip hazard… lvp will also be on stairs and upstairs. railings will change too. going for something like this but trying to find someone to build it for not crazy $

Adjoining areas are living room and dining room. No plans at this time to change the carpeting there.

Like the thought to take through the hallway portion. Cut it off at the trim/doorway?

sounds like a great plan to me. Phasing out carpet is always a Good Thing.
