Thankyou everyone for your input, I had wondered if especially the morning glories (the Japanese would follow with the same requirements) would be a tender item to deal with, since they grow very well on the coast with their humidity as well. So I won't be disappointed if they don't get very high. I will start them in the house, then transplant them to a container outside. So pleased to hear the gazania can do very well if set in the right place. March 15 will be a good time, I should receive them by that time. I think that I will be returning again this year. Harlan Hamernik is the featured speaker and I always enjoy hearing what he has to say. I am providing a link to sign up for the classes. Sadly, the collaboration with Kirkwood Community College makes signing up online a very confusing, time consuming issue; as you will probably find out at the link below. This year the college has managed to make it even worse than in the past. I'm telling you, teotiki, that kid can outwork at least half of the grown men in the family, and wear me into the ground. He'll work all day for $5 and be happy for the company, especially if he gets to drive something. Their father is useless and their mother is gone, but the kids are still pretty good. Annie
