Overwhelmed by options

I need to furnish a house, but I'm overwhelmed by choices. I know I want solid wood -- no particle board or veneers. I want to set a bed, dresser, and night table for my daughter. I'm looking at online places like Thuma, Way Fair, and West Elm. I'm open to buying from Costco. I'm willing to spend $2,500 to $5,000. And I'd like to be able get it within 4-6 weeks. I've looked at brick-and-mortar stores like Dania, Macy's, Pottery Barn, and Crate & Barrel. I didn't see anything I liked much at those places. Where should I shop? Who can I trust?

I also need a couch. I have four kids so maybe any-old-sofa from IKEA would be fine? Everything I've seen in person seems pretty much like everything else. I can't really tell the different between an expensive and inexpensive piece. Where do I buy a "decent" 86" sofa in the $1K-$2K range?
