Front Door Help

I don’t really have an entry way and I have 3 doors but I dont like that the main door has no natural light coming through and it’s hard to tell which door is what.
Any ideas on what I can do to make this area look better?

You have three doors that are all different from each other. I don’t know your budget, but I would make them all the same style. Presumably the one closest to the foreground is your interior door style throughout the rest of the house and I’m guessing the one next to it leads to the garage? Match to your interior door style (six panels). Change the hardware on the middle door to match the finish of the others. Replace the exterior door with a six panel door that has two glass panels on top. No one will be able to see in but you’ll get natural light and it will be obvious that that door leads outside. Hope all that makes sense!

I agree with the above comment completely. You could also consider a half glass exterior door where the top is almost all window. That pane looks like stained glass only all clear and has pieces of beveled glass to obscure vision. Depending on budget, you might also add a matching side light panel for even more natural light. Hi there! You can paint the part between the door and sidelights white and also paint sidelights white, it will less emphasize that part. But I think door and sidelights look amazing now, and it would be good if you can pick up the right color for that part to match the door, like wenge and leave door as it is.

As stated, I was looking for advice for shutter, door frame and door paint color. I used black for the shutters and shogi white for the door frame. But, I wanted a “pop” color for my front door and that was the most difficult color to arrive at. I decide to “study” color schemes and purchased a color wheel. I went with a complementary color to my brick. My brick is varied in color but overall a terra cotta tone. With the color wheel focused on those tones it recommended blue-green or green-blue. I came to the conclusion that my scheme would resemble “southwest” colors, thinking terra cotta and turquoise. My neighbor, that has an eye for colors, helped me make the final choice and I love it!!! The recommendations for no shutters on the ground floor was noted. I drove around my neighborhood and the community that I live in and concluded that it is standard practice to put shutters on my windows. So, I did. Thanks again to all that contributed to this post. Now, I’m off to Croatia! ✈️

One idea: paint the garage door the color of the siding above, and do an earthy pink front door. Farrow & Ball has a beautiful dusky pink — Sulking Room Pink: These are all that color, in different lighting: Apparently, it attracts white dogs. :D

If budget is tight perhaps paint the main door a different color and paint the garage door the same color as the wall to help it disappear

A runner that "shows the way" toward the exit might help. 3 white doors are like a wall of closet doors, the way it is.

Garage entrance could use a 'wipe feet' mat too. Idk but maybe 10' covers all 3 doors?

Could you scoot the sofa in towards the room a little? If so, you could put a narrow sofa table behind it with some storage underneath. The bench in the corner looks cramped. With a runner and a new front door with lights, it might all help.

Replace the bench with one that has storage cubbies underneath, ora taller console with drawers.

Maybe leave the practical mat, and choose runner with some neutral to blend with the mat.

There are a few ways you might be able to fix your issue. We suggest looking at getting a front door with glass in it, that would help the light issue. Then you might be able to move the sofa forward some and add a sofa table behind the sofa, or a bench, as a place to drop things or take off shoes. Then perhaps try adding a runner as well.
