Comments (5)ok,,,it's like pulling teeth here. you want the help, yes? then post pictures of the rooms, the wood and tile. otherwise, just lay them how you think looks best because we have no idea what anything looks like....See More12 x 24 vs 24 x 24 ensuite floor and shower wall tiles?
Comments (3)Very interesting that you were told that 24” x 24” costs more to install... that’s because your tile guy doesn’t like to work with them. I’m putting the same size throughout my entire home and in the process I came across one that wanted considerably more to do 24” x 24” and would do 12” x 24” for way less... and then I found another who looked at more logical and the price was the same regardless of size. I really believe it comes down to the installer, I’m like you and want to see as little grout as possible I also am having mine installed on the diagonal as they will run throughout and in a 4’ hallway that will look much better than straight. You posted in March if you have yours in please show us photos......See More24x24 kitchen floor tile?? Yay or Nay?
Comments (14)Any large format tile requires a lot of prep to get your floor flat, and without deflection. It requires more costly setting materials and higher skills. It’s installation is about double in price to a standard 12x12 that no one is doing these days. Plus the required prep. Don’t hire the cheap $5 hack that never heard of the TCNA. https://www.ceramictilefoundation.org/homeowners-guide-to-hiring-qualified-tile-installer...See More24 x 24 or wood look tile throughout?
Comments (23)HO-UZZ812, I would expect that too. However, I was told the 24 x 24 will cost me the same as the wood look tile. I have been through several homes, including specs, in our development that have the 24 x 24, and I do like the look (although I have seen only white matte and polished ones). One had the 24 inch tile on the diagonal. The owner indicated she paid a 15% upcharge for that when she built a few years ago....See Morekandrewspa
