How to hide exposed heat pipe in "cloffice?"

Ideas to hide this exposed heat pipe? This is my closet/office area!! Between my master bathroom and master closet area.

I guess there are several ways to deal with that. Paint it the yellow of the wall to help it disappear. Alterntively, have fun with it and let it stand out. Or you could really be creative, such as painting it with climbing vines and flowers.

Cute desk space, I love the yellow and white, and the flowers. I'd hide only the pipe that's on the desk itself -- construct a long, narrow 3-sided box, paint it white or yellow, and stand it on edge to conceal the pipe. Keep the niche for the flowers. Use the box for sticky notes.

Exposed plumbing is typically done with nicer and more expensive material if they are going to stay exposed. With limited experience it is better to fix the problems and then cover it up. More experience is needed for exposed plumbing. This a moderate to hard task. https://www.thisoldhouse.com/how-to/how-to-install-pedestal-sink I saw them do this segment on TV about a year ago but cant find a video online.

There may have been a good reason for not recessing those pipes, but I would want to know that the contractor opened up the wall behind, and that the "reasons" were valid. Sometimes its just more work, but not really that difficult. With respect to code, pipes need to be protected from damage during normal use. Since this appears to be a floor level area where someone might kick a foot or run a broom, it seems like they could be easily damaged. You could hide them with as little as a tall (6" high?) double depth base molding that is cut out behind to hide the pipes. However, you still need to consider possible damage when they install shoe molding or other finish items. Bruce

baggyjim you have 3 choices, leave it, cover it or blend it. Blending the pipes would require the addition of other copper art work to mix it up and tweaking the pipes by adding even more copper to make it look great. These are only examples of what I mean. Painting the candle holder a copper color, adding copper figures on the window sill. Example `Example Running something up the wall a on both sides a ways like these copper vines and then wrapping the pipes to mimic a vine moving below the window for example. I see ways to blend in the pipes would in and look fine. Another thought would be using hammered copper on the wall of some design with hangers for stuff with a copper theme. Something like the vines can easily be made with copper wire, some thin sheet copper, scissors and a small hammer to make the leaves. Very simple art and craft project if you ask me.

Based upon your photos, the hot water supply will be in the wall and the only exposed pipe will be running from the mixing valve to the shower head. That pipe won't be any hotter than the water coming out of the shower head. If the water coming out of the shower head isn't too hot for your skin, the shower head pipe shouldn't be either.

Following up on the ivy idea. First I would paint the pipe to match the wall. Craft stores like JoAnn sell fabric ivy or grape leaf vines that you could glue or tape to the pipe. Spiral it all the way up.

I forgot to mention the heat pipe has insulation wrapped around it. I know you're not supposed to do this but the previous owners did it

I don't know anything about this company and maybe there are others, but I think this could work:

I would find a stack of shelves, baskets or boxes to fit between it and the wall. When they're full of colorful items, the eye won't notice the pipe so much. It seems well hidden on other shelves.
