Misaligned window height/size

Is there anything I can do about these misaligned windows? Would adding plantation shutters help to even out the size?

also not sure if we’ll keep the fireplace

I don't think plantation shutters would help. Hang roman shades at the same height such that the bottom hides the top molding of the windows and then no one will know they're not the same height. Make sure the shades are blackout lined so there's no light coming through to expose the difference.

Have someone come out and give you a quote on making that window larger.

The fireplace looks totally out of place - get rid of it.

You can't adjust the screen like you can a window in a program by dragging. Your screen resolution is set incorrectly for your monitor. You need to go into your Control Panel and open up the display properties. It could be under one of several different names, such as Display, or the name of the software controls for the display (mine says NVIDIA), etc. The right setting is dependent on the capabilities of your video card and monitor, so I can't tell you exactly what resolution to set it at. From your picture it looks like the lower windows by the fireplace are about the same height as your side windows. Could you put the same curtains/shades/drapes on these windows and put a blind on the top windows by the fireplace. IMHO the curtains should be all the same in one room.

You should play with drapes and blinds to get some balance with windows. I would dress windows the same way.
