Take a look at the photos of my house. My house was painted with Behr Marquee paint colors Taupe Tease for the main color; Superior Blue for the trim; and Fire Cracker for the doors. It is recommended that you choose 3 colors for your house instead of two. My hubby will eventually paint our white downspots the same color as the house.I chose this color combination after thinking about my green roof and red brick chimney. I did not want to choose colors that would clash with them. BTW--I love my red doors!

Thank you so much for the reply.. You are correct the storm door is white as well as the whole outside door frame .I was thinking of painting the exterior from door White as you suggested. The color on the garage door color now is pretty much what the gold will looks going and the beige shake siding will remain. I didn't address that the gutter as frame is light gold sided and I wasn't going to touch any of that just under it.....However, just a thought what about a Olive color for front door and Shutters (which I had thought about removing)? I like the color of a charcoal roof for your house, and also charcoal shutters. The door should stand out on its own, and could be almost any bright color of your choice. Rusty red. Dark teal, orange, etc. A very pretty house.

Maybe consider removing the shutters for now. Seems like a waste to paint and rehang, when most likely you’ll want a different color when repainting house. (That’s if there is no obvious color differece where shutters were.) I love the color below as it’s less sharp than navy or black and more unique. This may help if considering black.
