Apparently they're asking very young children the question: If you could choose between a million dollars and a penney that doubled every day for 30 days .....which would YOU choose?

My brain is so rusty on math...I was trying to figure out the formula for calculating the answer and I wasn't getting it. At one point in time, it would've been easy for me.

2^(n-1) where n is the number of days will generate the sequence 1, 2, 4, 8, 16... which is the number of pennies you will receive in each subsequent day, but you need to cumulate them, so the sum would be greater: 1, 3, 7, 15, 30...

If you doubled a penny every day it would take forever (or close to it), as you would only be adding 2 cents a day. BUT! If you started with a penny and doubled the money every day, that would be a totally different thing. I'll guess about a month.

(Yeah, I know, I'm a stickler for wording)
