Accent wall...or full room colour?

We previously had our back walls painted Hague blue by F&B, however having the fish tank near soon ruined the look so we have reco ered with B&Q's princeton. I had picked out dulux pebble shore to cover the white, as I'm trying to add more warmth, but the partner has suggested we do the full room with princeton. Any suggestions? I'm trying to make the couch look less blurgh (it's supposed to be steel grey...but that's a while other discussion!) Will add pic separately as it's not allowing me to upload. Please ignore the messy cutting in...work in progress! The last picture has paint samples and the colour to the far right is pebble shore. We are looking to get some off white rugs until we get a new cream carpet

I like dark paint colors and I generally prefer going all-in to just having an accent wall. But...my concern with your room in particular is that the floor is very dark and there's not a lot of natural light. You mention getting cream-colored rugs and I think that will help. But it looks like the two rooms span from the front to the back of the building with no side windows? You don't show the opposite side of the room. All Princeton is going to be moody. That's not necessarily a bad thing, you just need to decide if it's the look you want. You might want to supplement your lighting (table lamps, floor lamps).

I almost bought that exact picture! It's beautiful. You would have so many options to finish the room. Golds, rusts and blues. It could be a French color scheme that's one of my favorits. It's a keeper!

Here is a shot in my bathroom. Sorry for the poor quality but the wall color is behr grape leaves, you can look at the color online and it is more accurate than what is shown in my cell phone picture. I had it in my old kitchen with the same golden oak shown in the trim in this pic and I used orange and red accents.

I ended up using BM - Kendall charcoal for the accent wall and doing what I think is called a board and batten accent wall? & revere pewter for the other walls. I wish I had a photo of it set up as an office but we’re painting/shelving/reorganizing the basement so it’s acting as a temporary storage room. 😅

No, lil S we have a large family room with a big TV and 2 little dens. We have a little TV in the kitchen, but I'd like to see that go. Just got the gas fireplace and wanted to enjoy it sometimes. I'm fine if there's no TV. Just use the room for reading or company as we've used it in the past on the other side. But since you said find 2 chairs you love.....I found these: https://www.houzz.com/products/swivel-print-accent-chair-prvw-vr~113150984 Is there any way to make these work with that sofa? I also have a cream marble cocktail table in my room I could move down (ugh, it's heavy) if need be. I like the musical notes by the piano.

Yeah that was my concern with the dark carpet. We have gone with pebble shore 👍 other half is off work so he's on it now
