This might sound strange, but you might look at Pottery Barn kids for units that coordinate and can house the TV, computer, etc. If you take away the kiddie accessories shown in the catalog photos, a lot of these units look like "normal" furniture. Here is a link that might be useful: PB Kids

How about using it as a chalkboard wall? I like the idea of having the chalkboard framed on the wall so it looks more like a picture than just a whole wall of chaulkboard paint.

The pillow with the black background will fit perfectly as I purchased an Oriental table lamp that has black, pink and blue color on it on a light background, not the one with the bird. It will balance with the black pillow. The tan color in the other pillow will not fit as I have nothing in that shade.
