I would never use that tile for shower walls too many grout lines to start and I like that as an accent tile . IMO the fewer grout lines and the fewer finishes in a bathroom the better . I like 12 x24 porcelain tile for bathroom floors and shower walls a smaller tile same color for the shower floor and if you love that tile use is as an accent with one vertical strip not centered on the back shower wall and the backsplash for the vanity.

We've chosen the rectangular Cloe tile in blue for our master bath redo, now in progress. The shower is 3' by 5', tiled up to the 9' ceiling. We chose an MTI one piece acrylic shower base for ease of cleaning. Our high-end contractor normally does tile shower bases, so this is new to them.

Our floors will be smallish white hexagon tiles. Our prior white tiles were larger and a bit slippery. We did not consider large format tiles because, to me, they read modern, and I detest anything contemporary.

Trisha, we have something similar in our Florida home. 12x 24 polished on shower walls, same tile but unpolished for the floor. We did a mosaic for the shower floor.

By using both polished and unpolished, they appear different but of course coordinated since they are the same tile.
