Thank you for your response. I had never heard of "Rooms to Go" since we do not have a store in our area. I did look on their website and was surprised since this particular piece didn't seem to fit in with what I was seeing on their website. She did say the table was very inexpensive. I still think it's very pretty with all the detail around the edges.

It's a chair typically found in lawyer's offices. It may well have come from a company that specializes in office furniture or it might just be a Martha Washington chair covered in leather (is it leather or vinyl?). Depending on the weight of the chair and whether it is leather and the condition of it, it is probably worth between $50-200.

Having an local upholsterer replicate it isn't inexpensive unless one is really going the downmarket with a tufted headboard from Joannes but has a lot of advantages over retail shopping - especially if one's taste isn't mainstream beige or gray :-). Also, with the help of a good designer who has sources for quality work, one can replicate super high end "couture" quality furniture for more down to earth pricing. I had a bed done by a local upholsterer recommended by my designer using a bed I had seen as inspiration. My bed was done in mohair which is actually more expensive than velvet (in general). The cost was in the $2500 range but it was exactly what I wanted in terms of style, fabric and color. I would imagine replicating the bed in this thread would have cost me about the same amount. I even had him create a little "purse" so that I have a place to store the remotes for my bed, television, shades plus my iPhone :-) and it blends in with the headboard. I had my dining room table replicated from an Art Deco table that I loved in picture. The table also wasn't inexpensive but compared (I think) favorably in cost to the blah tables I could have gotten at the usual retail stores. The table was $4000 plus 20% design fee plus sales tax. Custom upholstery and furniture isn't necessarily cheaper but it does enable one to get exactly what one wants at a cost that is the same (or less) than lesser quality furniture at the usual retail sources. FWIW, if you are looking for faux fur throws, try Fabulous Furs as their selection is extensive and the quality is superb. They also do custom work as I ordered a bedspread in their Ivory Mink for my bed - and a throw for my chaise in the Truffle Chinchilla. I couldn't be happier with the quality and appearance of both. And a side benefit of using a designer - my net cost with her commission added was still less than what I would have paid ordering directly. My experience with a lot of items was that my net cost ordering through my designer was less than if I had bought directly - and even when it wasn't, the value added of relying on her taste and knowledge of materials was "priceless" Fabulous Furs

It doesn't look familiar--it may be very old and not manufactured any more. Do you need this exact piece? Or maybe look to see what's available in your price range with a similar look?
