It was supposed to be a Celeste, but clearly isn't.
I saw no difference between it and my other Celeste until the fruit got much larger than any on the Celeste (could be because I didn't really thin the Celeste? It produced 2-3 dozen) and turned yellow.
It has what I think is an "open eye" and started oozing gel -ish when close to ripe (visible in picture).
This was its first year producing fruit - I wasn't impressed with the flavor, but I experienced that the first year my Chicago Hardy (RIP) produced also.
